Playing with the kite is a Vietnamese tradition. Kites can be different from place to place, and Hue is a great place to enjoy this tradition and to learn the skills from the artist. The excursion will introduce to you a kite maker whose family has been practising this skill for generations. Under his guidance, the pre-prepared bamboo framework soon becomes a beautiful kite after your gluing and shaping. If weather permits, you may like to kite at Ngo Mon Square, in front of the South Gate of the Citadel or just simply take it home and fly it later.
