One hour by car south of Hue and located at an altitude of 1,450m, Bach Ma National Park is an ideal place for nature lovers. After entering the park, your car will start ascending along the newly paved road that snakes through verdant forests home to a wide variety of fauna and flora. Approaching the summit, you will catch sight of the remains of French villas perched on hill sides or swallowed by vines and bushes. You will be rewarded with a spectacular view of far reaching green jungles, tranquil lagoons, white sandy beaches, and the East Sea in its infinity. Enjoy your picnic lunch with a view at the mountain top. Take a short trek off the main road to Do Quyen (Azalea) Waterfall to admire the grandeur of this natural beauty where water cascades freely from a height of over 200m. For physical fit adventurers, if time and weather permits, there is an option to trek to explore the Five Lakes where you may wish to take a dip in the cool and clear water. Return to Hue or your next destination in the afternoon.
