VL22 Puppet ceremony at Wat Xiengthong (1hr excursion)

Drive to visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground (a signature of classical Lao architecture). Experience a ceremony and puppet show with local puppets which were historically used for festivals and funeral parties in Luang Prabang. Currently, only a few people from the village of Xieng Thong understand the preparation of the ceremony and the use of the puppets. Visitors will discover a piece of history and culture of Luang Prabang. Transfer back to the hotel. 

Special with additional fee: An expert from UNESCO will explain the significance of the ceremony and the puppets (the availability has to be verified upon request).
