Luang Prabang - Pakbeng - Houay Xai - Chiang Rai

Day 1 Luang Prabang - Luang Say cruise
Take a full-day boat trip on the Mekong River. The boat leaves Luang Prabang at 7:30 a.m. for a cruise up the Mekong River to Pakbeng. On the way to the Pak Ou Caves, make a brief stop at a village renowned for its unique "lao lao" rice wine. Proceed to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves carved into towering limestone cliffs along the riverbank. Inside the caves are thousands of statues of Buddha in various sizes. Enjoy a buffet lunch onboard and continue to Pak Beng, arriving in time for a sunset view. Stay at the Luang Say Lodge and enjoy dinner on a terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

Day 2 Luang Say cruise - Chiang Rai 
After breakfast, cruise on the Mekong River to the border crossing at Houay Xai. Stop en route to visit hill tribe villages and to get a glimpse of daily life along the riverbank. Lunch is served onboard. Arrive at Houay Xay in the afternoon and transfer to Chiang Rai.

Day 3 Chiang Rai - Departure
The morning is free to rest and explore the city. Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
